Hello! I did not know exactly where to put this, so I decided this place was as good as any. :-)

I am GreenReaper, founder of WikiFur. One of our contributors noticed that you have quite a good wiki here as well, and we both use MediaWiki. I was wondering if you would be interested in some kind of link exchange for those topics which we both have pages on? We could use the language box at the left side of the page, like in Wikipedia.

If you were interested in trying this out then I think this MySQL command would do it:

REPLACE INTO interwiki (iw_prefix,iw_url,iw_local) VALUES
('en','http://furry.wikia.com/wiki/$1',0),
('WikiFur','http://furry.wikia.com/wiki/$1',0);

You would then type [[en:ArticleName]] and it would turn into a link on the left labelled "English" that went to the ArticleName page on WikiFur. If you want a normal sort of link to another article, you could do it like this: [[:en:ArticleName|your article title]], or [[WikiFur:ArticleName|your article title]]

Similiarly, we could link back to your articles (although to be honest you would probably need to ask someone like hukka or WWWWolf to do this, as I can only guess at what the meaning is in Finnish :-).

Many of our pages have quite a lot of information and useful links, so it would be good for those who are interested in learning more. What do you think? --GreenReaper 3. toukokuuta 2006 kello 01.48 (CEST)

This kind of linking would be quite good idea. I use wikifur quite a lot and this is actually something that has been on the future to-do list but has just never been done.

Linking is done, en:$page and WikiFur:$page seems to work now ^^ --SlvWolf

This has now been done. You can put [[fi:Article name]] at the bottom of any WikiFur page and it will make a link on the left to TurriWiki. If you wish to create an in-text interwiki link from WikiFur to TurriWiki, you can use [[:fi:Article name|link description]] or [[TurriWiki:Article name|link description]].
